| Bio: | This journal is currently out of use. This was a character journal for Mäes Hughes at a now-defunct multi-fandom RP called Renatus. Personality: He is everything a ray of sunshine is and more. He's warm, friendly, energetic, loving, and reliable. However, like a cloud easily blocks sunlight, he can easily switch moods to go from happy to depressed, given the right incentive. However, it works both ways, and sometimes he can be pulled out of a deep sadness from the simplest of things. He tends to be mutable in this, and doesn't like to hold grudges. He forgives easily but takes care to make sure that he isn't walked all over due to this trait. His nature is to help people, and embrace differences instead of condemning them, believing people's uniqueness to be intriguing. He has an insatiable curiosity and yet, a terrible need for mischief. He would never truly want to harm someone but if the time came when he needed to, he wouldn't back down if anyone he loved was in trouble. He is extremely loyal in this manner, and will fight to the death to protect that which he believes in. History: Mäes Hughes worked in Intelligence under the Amestrian army, and was a Lieutenant Colonel before being transported to Renatus. He's best friends with Roy Mustang, even if the Colonel can get rather exasperated by Hughes' constant phone calls while on the job, and continuous doting upon his little girl, Elycia. The two have been friends since the military academy that both attended, and have helped each other though difficult times in their lives, growing closer than brothers. Hughes absolutely adores his wife and daughter, and doesn't let anyone forget about it either. He can be seen showing off piles of photographs of his family, especially his girl, to everyone he meets - even if it's obvious they've had enough. He doesn't seem to care much, however, and continues to show them off anyways. He's very talented with his throwing knives, and is a good shot - and now that he's in Renatus, he's putting his abilities to use, becoming a police officer to pay the bills. He's currently living with Roy and just trying to make sense of things, but is eternally grateful that there's at least one familiar face in the somewhat alien world.
